Sweetpea has been loving how she can walk out the back door and pick ripe blackberries and strawberries with us each night. I'm even more excited now that the tomatoes are coming on strong as well. We also have lots of eggplant and jalapenos, though the bell peppers aren't doing so well.
If you have any recipes that call for jalapenos and/or eggplant, I'd love to hear about them! I will be making eggplant pesto next week (I'll share the recipe then) but I think we'll still have several to spare...eggplant are kind of like zucchini that way!

Like a weed... Seriously! I never got around to planting a garden this year, with my son graduating and getting the house ready for a grad party.
You're so lucky! Sounds like you have a super garden!
That is such a sweet picture! I love it. And what a great bounty -- good luck keeping up with the picking over the next few weeks with the new baby coming! Mine... not so much.
And eggplant? Make some moussaka!
Love summer produce! One year we had so many cucumbers that we ran out of people to give them to!
Ah yes, moussaka! I have a fond memory of my husband (your daddy!) one of those days long ago when both you and your brother were sick and it was his turn to miss work to stay home with you. I'm sure he had a less than stellar day doing that, but when I arrived home, he had made the most beautiful moussaka; piping hot and ready for dinner using eggplant from the garden. I'm not sure what recipe he used, but it was wonderful!
So sweet!!
I'm having a hard time finding recipes for zuchhini and eggplant as well...looking forward to seeing what people share!
On my days off I sometimes saute up a mess of veggies Usually spinach broccolli mushrooms onions peppers and garlic qith some Italian seasoning Then freeze or refrigerate it in small containers to make tortilla pizzas scramble with eggs add to a can of soup etc I am going to the Farmers Market tomorrow and next time I am adding zuchini and eggplant (Sorry about the lack of punctuation Isaac did something to my keyboard)
Wow, I can't believe the size of that tomato in the previous entry and I'm so jealous especially of the blackberries - they are my favorite but don't grow well here and cost a small fortune to buy those icky tasteless ones at the store.
You could make a bunch of eggplant Parmesan - it freezes well too!
