Sweetpea and I went to visit the fire station right before the first wave of stomach flu hit during the holiday break. We took our red and green fake out Snickerdoodles to say thanks for all these men and women do to keep us safe. Sweetpea loved seeing the fire equipment and big trucks. We called ahead, and there were two firemen to lead us around and show us everything. She wasn't sure about letting the fireman put her up in the truck, but she was more than happy to let me put her in. She loved the hat too, we keep it in my car and she asks to wear it about once a week or so. If your child is interested in trucks, I would highly recommend a trip to the fire station!

I will definitely plan a trip for Hurricane Luka to the firestation to see those neato firemen and their big 'ol tonka truck. I will give them strict instructions not to take their eyes off him when the sit him in the drivers seat however. (We don't call him Hurricane for nothin')
She is such a doll..the firefolks are always always gracious at showing kids around.

AW, what a cutie! : ) We went last year and the kids got the biggest kick out of watching the fireman put on all his gear. Huge grins on their little faces.
